The Soho Wealth SBC Game of the Week comes from Portobello this Friday as City of Edinburgh Kats welcome Lady Rocks to Edinburgh.
It’s set to be a big game in the race for the Championship with both games starting the season with perfect records. There’s very little to separate the two sides, who have both scored 446 points in their opening six games.
The teams
Lady Rocks sit top of the table, having conceded three less points than Kats. Rocks have picked up wins over Perth Phoenix, Glasgow University, West Lothian Wolves, Glasgow Fever, Edinburgh University and St Mirren.
Kats currently sit second, also boasting a record of 6-0. with wins over West Lothian Wolves, Glasgow University, Sony Centre Fury, Glasgow Fever as well as two wins over Edinburgh University.

Lady Rocks’ Colin Haldane is excited for Friday night’s clash:
“[We] always look forward to playing Kats. They approach the game and play it with great spirit. Our games are competitive and this one will be no different. With players working, ill or injured it’s a challenge to field your best team but we can’t wait for Friday.”
Craig Nicol, City of Edinburgh’s Head Coach, is expecting a tough night:
“We have been looking forward to this game for a while. Rocks have had very similar results to us, so it should be a closely contested game. We have had some excellent performances recently from all areas of our team. Players like Murron Marr and Zoe Gibson have been excellent contributors off the bench, so we are hopeful that our depth will be a key factor in the game.”
