Intro

Glasgow University travel east on Sunday to face off against Edinburgh University in the capital.

Glasgow and Edinburgh sit 6th and 8th respectively in the division, both with a record of 1-2 from their opening three fixtures.

The teams

Edinburgh University started the 19/20 season with a 52-35 victory away to Glasgow Fever before suffering back-to-back defeats to City of Edinburgh and Perth Phoenix respectively.

Glasgow University started their campaign with two heavy losses to Lady Rocks and City of Edinburgh, 78-33 and 87-26, before picking up their first win of the season at home to West Lothian Wolves last Saturday.

Glasgow University Head Coach, Charlotte Dalton, is expecting a tough game for her team, who have only been together for four weeks:

“This fixture is always tough for us, but I’m pleased with the progress the team has made in just 4 weeks together and how the new intake of players are adapting to league. Both teams have had similar starts to the season so it’ll be good to see how we match up against EU on this occasion.”

Edinburgh’s Captain, Laoise Carey, thinks Glasgow will present a challenge to their new look roster:

“We are looking forward to this challenging game with our new team. We’ve been working hard on our game and were excited to put it into action.”
