basketballscotland is delighted to announce that Rob Beveridge and Bart Sengers will head up the 2018-19 Regional Academy programme with both performance coaches set to support the curriculum throughout the 2018-19 season.
Both coaches bring a vast amount of experience to the programme with Beveridge guiding Scotland’s Senior Men to a 4th placed finish at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and Sengers coaching Scotland’s female professional team, Caledonia Pride.
Speaking on today’s announcement, Rob Beveridge said:
“I’m proud and honoured to be part of the development of basketball in Scotland. The U14 Regional Academy programme will be a great opportunity to develop players and coaches alike.”
Bart Sengers added:
“I’m excited to be part of this new U14 concept here in Scotland. We’ll be encouraging the development of fundamentals and providing our players and staff with a great opportunity to improve. Learning in their local environment and coming together at National Events will help everyone understand where they are and what they have got to do better.”
