We are delighted to announce that our long-term partner, Blackwood Homes and Care, will be sponsoring basketballscotland’s Wheelchair National Youth Academy for the 2024/25 season. This exciting partnership marks Blackwood’s return to supporting our initiatives, following a brief hiatus.
Blackwood’s sponsorship will not only assist in the day-to-day operations of the academy but will also support the development of mental health and wellbeing, as well as the leadership skills of Academy players.
Together with Blackwood, we look forward to a successful and impactful partnership, driving forward the growth and success of wheelchair basketball in Scotland.
“We are delighted to welcome back Blackwood Homes as the sponsor of our Wheelchair National Youth Academy.” said Tina Gordon, Inclusion Manager at basketballscotland. “Their support will be instrumental in helping us nurture the next generation of wheelchair basketball players. Together, we can continue to break down barriers and create opportunities for all.”
Simon Fitzpatrick, CEO of Blackwood Homes, commented: “We are delighted to announce this partnership agreement with basketballscotland and the Wheelchair National Youth Academy.”
“Blackwood is committed to independent living and helping people live their lives to the full. Sport and activity are a huge part of that, and so it is brilliant that we can continue our longstanding relationship with basketballscotland, and particularly their talented young people this year”.
