Club Affiliation for the 2023–24 season is now open

Affiliating you club is a great way to ensure your club has a successful season. Here’s how affiliation helps:

Access to great competition

basketballscotland provides some great opportunities for your players, coaches and officials to play and Affiliation opens the door for your club to access these:

  • Scottish Basketball Championships
  • SBC Scottish Cups
  • Chairman’s Cups
  • Jr. NBA League

Attract new members

basketballscotland receives calls on a daily basis from people all over Scotland looking for places to play. Your affiliation guarantees we have the most up to date information on your club and can connect these people to you.

Affiliated clubs receive advertising space on our website throughout the season and have a permanent place in our ‘Find a Club’ section for players all around the country seeking to join and play basketball.

Protect and support your club

basketballscotland affiliated clubs are covered under our Public Liability Insurance. With the issues of litigation in sport increasing every year this is critical to protecting your club’s future and assists clubs with venue hire with Local Authorities.

You can also get access to resources to further develop your club. These include:

  • Access to basketballscotland child protection programme and PVG scheme
  • Access to basketballscotland run education courses and associated scholarships
  • Access to basketballscotland Club Development programme & staff support

Every year basketballscotland lobbies local and national bodies for support and funding for basketball. Our ability to demonstrate the popularity of the game throughout Scotland is critical to being successful in our efforts. Your affiliation helps us help you!
