Great Britain’s opening World Cup Qualifier against Greece is to be streamed LIVE and for FREE across the UK, in a unique partnership between FIBA, British Basketball and its home nations, the BBL and a number of independent basketball sites.
Tonight’s game, played in front of over 2,000 people at the Leicester Arena, will be streamed live by FIBA to viewers in the UK. We will have the whole game live available on this website, plus the post-game press conferences.
Viewers in Greece will be able to watch it via public broadcaster ERT while those outside both Greece and the UK will be able to tune in via livebasketball.tv.
This will be the third time the teams have met this year, with Greece overcoming Britain in Patras before a highly entertaining contest at the Copper Box in August, which saw the Greeks sneak past GB 88-84.
The game is sure to be an exciting one, with Great Britain taking their bow for the first time under new Head Coach Tony Garbelotto. Despite an unfamiliar lineup, Greece will bring their usual real quality to the Leicester Arena.
If you want to come to the game, tickets are rapidly running out and can be collected from reception at the Leicester Arena today.
Don’t miss out on a great occasion for basketball in the UK!
