basketballscotland are thrilled to announce that Janet Zeltinger will be the Head Coach at our upcoming inaugural International Wheelchair Summer Camp.
As a former Paralympic athlete, Zeltinger has excelled both on and off the court, making significant contributions to the growth of wheelchair basketball. She is considered one of the world’s best wheelchair basketball players and was one of the pillars of the Canadian National team in the last decade. After retiring from playing in 2017, she has become one of the most successful coaches in the game. She is currently the head coach of RSV Lahn-Dill, one of the strongest wheelchair basketball clubs in the world.
“I am very excited and honoured to have the opportunity to work with young athletes from Scotland, Ireland and England as well as a number of experienced coaches.” Commented Zeltinger. “It promises to be a dynamic and fun filled week.”
The Wheelchair International Camp, scheduled to take place from 3rd– 7th July 2023, will feature a comprehensive programme designed to provide participants with the opportunity to enhance their basketball skills, learn from experienced coaches, and build lasting relationships within the wheelchair basketball community. The camp will include training sessions, workshops, and friendly competitions to foster teamwork and sportsmanship.
