basketballscotland is dedicated to providing its workforce with relevant development opportunities and would like to give Scottish officials advance notice of this year’s Pre-Season Referee Seminar.
The event will take place at Scotland’s National Performance Centre, Oriam on 25th & 26th August 2018.
The Conference will be shaped in a development-focused way and will cater to referees of all levels, including Local and Regional Leagues. The weekend will also include group sessions aimed at your current stage as well as joint session from Key Note Speakers to the group as a whole.
Stage appropriate materials will be delivered by basketballscotland tutors and external partners.
basketballscotland are delighted to welcome back, FIBA’s Johnny Jacobs as on of our highlighted Key Note speakers. This will be Johnny’s 4th trip to Scotland to support referees operating on a multitude of levels. Johnny is FIBA instructor from Belgium with over 15 years of experience as a referee in the top Belgian division and internationally and currently working with Champions League referees as a Coach and Instructor.
Details on the schedule for the weekend will be announced in the coming weeks and additional speakers for sessions will be announced over social media following on from this. Details on where to sign up and early bird offers will be circulated in coming weeks.
Referees with ambitions to officiate in the SBC this season are advised to attend the full weekend where possible.
