Intro

This weekend’s Game of the week sees West Lothian Wolves welcome Stirling Knights to Bathgate in the third weekend of SBC action.

It’s first v fourth in the division, with the visitors topping the table after starting their campaign with two wins from two. Several players in each squad also faced off in last season’s U16 Playoff Final as Knights overcame Wolves.

The teams

West Lothian Wolves started their 19/20 season with an 80-74 win at home to Boroughmuir before losing 77-56 on the road to Glasgow Rens last weekend. The side will be hoping to bounce back and maintain their position near the top of the table.

Stirling Knights have picked up two high-scoring wins over Grampian Flyers and Glasgow Rocks. Stirling’s roster contains a number of players from the club’s 18/19 treble-winning U16 squad. Knights will be looking to maintain their perfect start and place at the top of the division.

From the Coaches

Les McGlasson, Stirling’s Head Coach, explains how Stirling’s squad always looks forward to facing Wolves:

“Games versus West Lothian are always a highlight of our domestic season and rain, hail or snow, [they are] games our players relish being a part of. A good pre-season has given us a good platform to start the season, let’s hope this continues on Saturday”

Stay up to date

Supporters are encouraged to head along to Bathgate Academy for the game, which is part of a double header between the clubs as the U16 teams face off earlier in the day.
