basketballscotland is delighted to confirm that Scotland and GB Internationalists Kieron Achara and Robyn Lewis will be speaking at this year’s #RiseNow Coaching Summit which will take place at Oriam on Sunday 26th August.
Kieron Achara recently reached 100 caps with the GB Senior Men and memorably captained Scotland to a 4th placed finish at the Commonwealth Games earlier in the year. Talking on his involvement in the #RiseNow summit, Achara said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to speak with coaches and educators who are aiding in moulding the future of Scottish basketball. It should be a great event with a brilliant line-up!”
Robyn Lewis has spent the last two seasons in Scotland playing with Caledonia Pride, and as well as representing Scotland has represented Great Britain at U20 level. Talking ahead of the #RiseNow Summit, Lewis said: “I am excited to speak at the Coaching Summit this weekend. Playing for Scotland has given me some of the proudest moments of my basketball career. It will be great to have so many coaches involved in sharing ideas and best practice in an environment where we can learn from each other.”
