The Scottish Schools Cup is back for 2024!
Next week, 24 teams from multiple schools across Scotland will travel to Dundee’s Regional Performance Centre to compete in the 2024 Scottish Schools Cup Final 4’s. Here they will have a chance to go up against the best in the country under the watchful eye of some of Scotland’s highly skilled officials.
During the school year, teams competed across six leagues (S1 Girls, S1 Boys, U15 Girls, U15 Boys, Open Girls, and Open Boys) to be named the winner in their region – North, East, Central, and West. These winners will now meet at the Final 4’s event to fight for the title of the 2024 champion!
Regrettably, the winners from the U15 Girls North region had to withdraw, and the north region were unable to field a team. A draw to place and a second team from the East competition will replace them.
Matt Hoffman, who leads on the Scottish Schools Cup at basketballscotland, commented:
“Congratulations to all the school teams who have reached the finals. I would like to thank our regional leads for all the hard work that they put in to ensuring that the schools in their region had a well organised and enjoyable experience up to this point. I would also like to highlight the time and effort committed by the school teachers and coaches which have allowed their pupils the opportunity to play in this competition. Good luck to all the teams competing this coming week!”
