Scotland’s Governing Body for the sport of basketball in Scotland, basketballscotland, would like to thank David Watt for his contribution to the sport, as we announce that he has stepped down from the role of Chair.
David has been the organisation’s Chair during an important time for the sport’s development in Scotland. In 2018, the Senior Men’s basketball team will take part in the Commonwealth Games and participation in the sport at grassroots level is at a record high.
David Davies of the existing basketballscotland Board has become Acting Chair while a permanent replacement is sought. Andrew Warrington will continue in the role of Vice-Chair.
