Successful Season for basketballscotland with NBN23’s Swish App for Live Stats 

 

 

The Scottish Basketball Championship (SBC) Leagues reached new heights in the 2023/24 season as basketballscotland partnered with NBN23’s Swish App for live stats. This partnership has brought a new level of excitement and engagement to the Scottish basketball community, offering real-time insights and data that have transformed the way the game is experienced by players, coaches, and fans alike. 

 

The Swish platform provides live statistics during games, allowing for immediate access to data such as player performance, team metrics, and game progress.  

 

Over the 2023/24 season, there were 1082 games were scored through the Swish App, with 5460 players from 408 teams taking to the court.  

 

One of the most noticeable impacts of the introduction of the Swish App has been on fan engagement. 11,160 followers had the ability to track their favourite players’ stats in real-time, see detailed game analysis, and share insights on social media has brought fans closer to the game than ever before.  

 

The feedback from the basketball community in Scotland has been overwhelmingly positive. Coaches, players, and fans alike have expressed their appreciation for the enhanced experience provided by the Swish App. Looking ahead, basketballscotland is excited to extend its partnership with NBN23 and is pleased that the Senior Men’s Division 1 and Senior Women’s SBC leagues will offer enhanced live stats for the 2024/25 season, while all other leagues will continue to use the 2023/24 format. We are taking a phased approach to bring clubs along on this journey, supporting the top teams in the country with their training needs ahead of the new season.
