basketballscotland appoint Team Manager 2022 Commonwealth Games
basketballscotland, in partnership with Team Scotland, are delighted to announce the appointment of Joanne Holmes as Team Manager ahead of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Joanne will now take part in a two year personalised training and development programme developed by Team Scotland in partnership with First Ascent and sportscotland. The programme will develop knowledge, attitudes behaviours and skills so Joanna is confidently able to deliver in her role and able to support our athletes to perform to their full potential in Birmingham.
Joanne is looking forward to joining the team for the 2022 Games: “I am delighted to have been selected as Team Manager for Basketball with Team Scotland for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. I am really looking forward to taking on this exciting and challenging role and working closely with basketballscotland and Team Scotland over the next 2 years to make sure players and coaching staff are well prepared and ready to compete in the new 3v3 tournament format in Birmingham.”
Speaking on Joanne’s appointment as Team Manager, Head of Basketball, Barry Lang, added: “We’re delighted to have Jo onboard for our basketball journey to Birmingham 2022. Jo is an extremely experienced Team Manager having attended multiple European Championships. The organisational and administration skills Jo brings to the team, plus her ability to connect with players and staff make her a key figure in our programme.”
