2019 Officials Conference date announced

The dates for the Officials Pre-Season Conference 2019 has been confirmed as

7th and 8th September 2019.

The conference is for the Referees and Table Officials of all ages, levels and commitment, whether it be either to Schools, Regional or National Competitions.

Sessions will be tailored to the attendees’ stage of development, to ensure that everyone gains maximum benefit from attending. The aim of the conference is to help improve officiating skills, rules knowledge, mechanics and game management skills as well as develop each person’s confidence as a basketball official.

Graham Shaw, basketballscotland’s Competitions & Officiating Manager, believes the conference is a valuable few days for Scotland’s officials:

“The conference is an opportunity for officials of all abilities and backgrounds to come together and improve individually and as a group. The education and support of officials in Scotland over the last few years has improved and we have been fortunate enough to attract world-class speakers from all over Europe.”

A location and full schedule for the event will be shared in due course, with attendance highly recommended for all referees and table officials wishing to officiate in the basketballscotland SBC, Cups and Playoffs throughout 2019/20.
