#ItsHerGame

Over the past year, basketballscotland has recognised and highlighted the incredible women and girls in our community through Women and Girls in Sport week and International Women’s Day.  

 

On International Women’s Day, the basketballscotland staff pledged to ensure the voices of women in our sport are sought out and listened to, and now we want to celebrate them! There are so many achievements in our community that we are proud of, and we want to recognise them.  

 

We know that female role models are essential to inspire the next generation of girls and so on the last Thursday of every month, we will be sharing the story of a different female from our sport. We want to celebrate the impact they have made on our sport and inspire others with their story.  

 

You don’t have to be on the court to inspire women and girls of all ages that basketball is for them. We will be recognising everyone from players to volunteers, and everyone in between!
