Jr. NBA Final Fours: Preview
The Jr. NBA Final Fours, plus the world’s first Jr. NBA Wheelchair League Final, takes place at The Peak in Stirling tomorrow as part of an action-packed day of basketball.
Two teams from each Conference have progressed to Final Fours after coming out on top in their respective Conference Final events last week. The top two teams from each Division travelled to compete at West Edinburgh Warriors and Sony Centre Fury.
The first Conference Final, for the Eastern Conference, will see Chicago Bulls Pentland playing Washington Wizards James Gillespies.
Dallas Mavericks St Margarets and Memphis Grizzlies Bonnybridge were the two teams to progress from the Western Conference and they will meet in the second game of the day in the Western Conference Final.
The two teams who miss out on the Final will then take part in the 3rd/4th place game, with the chance of picking up a Jr. NBA bronze medal.
The two Finals will follow, with the Jr. NBA Wheelchair League Final the first to tip off. Knicks Phoenix East and Jazz Dragons will face each other after progressing from the Semi-Finals which took place in Perth back in November.
Lastly, the two winning teams from the Conference Finals will meet in the Final for their chance to be crowned the 2019/20 Jr. NBA Champions. Their will be a new School winning this year as last year’s winners, Liberton, were defeated in the Eastern Conference Finals.
After the Final all teams will be invited to stay and watch Caledonia Pride face Essex Rebels in the WBBL. Tip off for the game is 5pm, with a few Pride players assisting in the Jr. NBA trophy presentations for the two winning teams during the half-time break.
Entry to the Jr. NBA Final Fours is free, with tickets available for Caledonia Pride’s game here.
