basketballscotland and the National Basketball Association (NBA) are delighted to announce that NBA European Ambassador and European Basketball legend, Vladimir Radmanovic, will attend the Jr. NBA basketballscotland League Finals on December 9th 2017.

The Finals will take place at Scotland’s National Performance Centre, Oriam with the Golden State Warriors Liberton and Boston Celtics Bonaly battling it out for the Championship and a trip to the NBA Global Games in London early next year.

Radmanovic was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2001 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. A native of Serbia, he spent 15 seasons in the NBA with the SuperSonics, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, Charlotte Bobcats, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls.

He finished his NBA playing career in 2013 finishing with 5,879 career points and 2,784 rebounds. Radmanovic also won a gold medal with Serbia at the FIBA World Cup in 2002.

The former NBA star will be on hand to support the team’s participating in Saturday’s Jr. NBA Finals which will conclude the first season of a successful partnership between the NBA and basketballscotland.

As well as joining in the Jr. NBA Finals celebrations, Radmanovic will make an appearance an NBA Cares clinic for local children from some of Edinburgh’s hardest to reach areas on December 8th.
