Scotland’s U19 Wheelchair Basketball squad continued their impressive summer, taking home the 2018 Digby Brown Wheelchair Invitational title in Largs at the weekend.

The youngsters, who will now go on to compete at the 2018 UK School Games, showed great team work and development during the competitive 2-day event held in the west coast of Scotland.

Saturday saw the U19’s open the tournament with a 57-44 win over UK Invictus Games squad, before dropping their second fixture 44-53 against the newly-founded Glasgow Rocks Wheelchair.

Rounding off Saturday’s action, the Rocks were able to pick up their second win in a close game with the Invictus Games squad that ended 57-50.

With all still to play for on day 2, Scotland’s U19s picked up 2 crucial victories over their opponents, defeating the Rocks 68-48 and narrowly edging out the UK Invictus Games team 70-69 in the last game of this year’s event.

The Glasgow Rocks picked up a 3rd win with a 48-45 win over Invictus Games to finish 2nd overall.

1st Place: Scotland U19

2nd Place: Glasgow Rocks

3rd Place: UK Invictus Games
