On Saturday 22nd April, the Scottish Wizards travelled to Wildcats Arena in Nottingham to compete in the highly anticipated 2023 Kukri Junior League Elite 8s competition. The Wizards were one of the eight teams competing, with the top two teams advancing to the Junior League final.

In their first game, the Scottish Wizards faced Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club, and emerged victorious with a score of 62-35, advancing to the next round. The team then faced off against the London Titans and emerged victorious with a score of 60-47!

The Scottish Wizards’ impressive performance means that they will now travel to the National Championship Finals on May 20th/21st to face the North Wales Knights. This event will also feature the finals for the British Wheelchair Basketball’s National League Divisions 1-3, Premier Division, and Women’s Premier League.

The Scottish Wizards will not be the only representatives from Scotland at the upcoming Finals weekend, as Lothian Phoenix will also be in attendance, where they will be fighting for a promotion into Division 1!
