Digby Brown Solicitors continue partnership with basketballscotland

Yesterday we held the first ever  ‘come and try’ 3X3 wheelchair basketball festival at Bathgate Academy in partnership with Digby Brown. It was a fun day for everyone involved as several newcomers attended the session and enjoyed trying out a new and fast-paced version of the sport whilst discovering wheelchair basketball for the first time.

On top of this, the advanced players were able to play 3X3 basketball against each other all day as some of them prepare for Commonwealth Games selection trials and qualifiers later this year. Wheelchair basketball will make its Commonwealth Games debut at Birmingham 2022, using the platform to showcase what an exciting sport wheelchair basketball is, all whilst doing it within the 3X3 format for the first time.

Of course, the opportunities to develop and progress 3×3 wheelchair basketball in Scotland would not be possible without the support we get from Digby Brown. We are thankful for their continued support.

basketballscotland’s Disability and Talent Pathways Manger, Tina Gordon said: “It’s great to welcome our basketball community back to the court and try some 3X3 fun. Really impressed by our friends at Digby Brown showing great spirit by having a go at wheelchair basketball – think we definitely have the start of a new Digby Brown wheelchair basketball team in the making!”
