basketballscotland are pleased to announce the following appointments to its wheelchair basketball Youth National Squads as they embark on their preparations towards British Wheelchair Basketball’s National Junior Championships this Summer.

Jen Scally (Lothian Phoenix), will Head Coach the U19 squad with Gary Davidson (St Mirren Warriors) as Assistant Coach.  Jen says of her appointment, I am proud and delighted to have been appointed as Head Coach of the Under 19 Squad. I share basketballscotland’s passion for athlete driven development and look forward to working in partnership with athletes, team staff & basketballscotland staff across the season.”

Niall Ritchie (Lothian Phoenix), will Head Coach the U15 squad with Conor Smart (Lothian Phoenix) as Assistant Coach.  Niall says of his appointment, “I’m delighted to be appointed Scotland U15 Coach for another season.  We have a great squad of young people which is growing all the time, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve this season

Disability Talent & Pathways Manager, Tina Gordon, commented, “This is a very exciting time for wheelchair basketball in Scotland with the announcement that 3v3 will be in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, 2022.  We are delighted to have a team of coaches in place across our youth squads, who will develop the players on court and off court skills, in readiness for this Summer’s competitions and beyond”.
