Scotland U16 Women’s squad has today been confirmed ahead of this summer’s European Championships.

The tournament, which will see Scotland come up against Malta, Wales and Cyprus in Group B, takes place in Chisinau from the 16th to 21st of July.

The team spent a weekend in June competing in the Copenhagen Invitational tournament as preparation for the tournament, as well as undertaking a training camp in Scotland over the last few months.

Head Coach Donnie McDonald is happy with how training has gone since the suqad returned from Denmark:

“The squad have continued to work very hard since the Copenhagen Invitational Tournament, so we are delighted with how the final preparations have gone. The whole group can’t wait to get to Moldova now and get our main competition underway.”

The squad remains largely unchanged from June’s event, however West Lothian Wolve’s Lucy Lemmon returns after an injury ruled her out of the Copenhagen Invitational.
